The Malta Developers Association (MDA) held its major annual fund-raising activity, a dinner in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation in the idyllic gardens of Verdala Castle earlier this month. The dinner was patronised by H.E. the President of Malta, Ms Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, and Mr Edgar Preca.
In his address MDA president Sandro Chetcuti thanked the President of Malta for constantly working closely with the MDA’s members. Despite being criticised for lacking a social conscience, Mr Chetcuti strongly affirmed that, irrespective of what everyone was saying, the most important thing was that the MDA was making a significant contribution in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility. For him it was of great satisfaction that the money raised was going to a good cause.
Ms Coleiro Preca praised the MDA and its members highly. She said it had been an honour to work closely with them over the past five years and noted that she was surprised to see how many of them were in the forefront when it came to helping those in need.
