MDA PRESENTS ELECTION PROPOSALS TO THE PL

In a meeting with Prime Minister and Leader of the Labour Party Robert Abela, the recently appointed Association President Michael Stivala said the Government had always listened to the association, adding that the proposals issued by the MDA have always borne fruit and were a solid foundation for the country’s economic recovery.

Stivala stated that the Association has worked hard and always came up with solutions rather than impose problems. He mentioned how the pandemic is a good example of this, whilst bringing fear and uncertainty around the globe, instead of like other industries, giving up and asking for more funds to support its workers, MDA has chosen to offer the Government proposals with good enough initiatives so that investment continues to grow. As a result, this brought a two-year record for buying and selling property.

Prime Minister Robert Abela, said that a new Government led by him will work to further reduce bureaucracy while supporting the creation of incentives for businesses to invest more. He said that in this way, more wealth will be created for the people.

Dr. Abela said that no bureaucratic process should be allowed to hinder investment in Malta. He emphasized that banking was one of the areas that needed to be addressed and explained that certain delays and bureaucracy were not acceptable. He said that he will be addressing this issue personally even if this sector does not fall under the direct responsibility of the Government.
