The main objectives of the real estate section within the MDA shall be:
- To unite all those persons who operate a bona fide estate, letting or managerial agency (the “Agency”) in immovable property in Malta;
- To ensure the advancement and the sharing of knowledge to facilitate the operations of the Agency;
- To maintain and improve the standard of services which Members of the Association render to the public;
- To protect and promote the general and special interests of its Members and to ensure that any legislation enacted, or regulations issued by the government or authorities, will not endanger the prosperity or impair the welfare of its members;
- To promote, support or oppose any legislative or other measures which affect the interests of the Association and its Members;
- To promote harmony between the Members of the association and other persons engaged in other complementary businesses being companies as well as individuals;
- To represent the real estate industry in general on boards, bodies, entities, councils, or other associations, whether or not created by law, and whether promoted and appointed by government or private enterprise, aimed at promoting, marketing, improving and generally overseeing or examining the development of the real estate industry in Malta and Gozo, and all other matters which may affect, directly or indirectly, the real estate industry in Malta and Gozo;
- To establish and maintain dialogue with governments, institutions, business organizations, international agencies and accredited experts, and to establish contacts, liaise and conclude agreements of cooperation with other similar institutions or associations;
- To provide a forum for regular consultation between the Association, its Members and other related bodies on matters of common interest; and
- To do all such things as are incidental to or conducive to the attainment of the objects of the Association or any of them.
