MDA insists its Budget proposals as agreed before general election

The Malta Developers Association presented a substantial document with concrete proposals for Budget 2018, some of which can be implemented immediately.

MDA President Sandro Chetcuti, who headed a delegation of Council members, augured that the Prime Minister and his Government would continue to achieve further progress and success in its endeavours to take the country to the next level. He praised Government’s initiatives that have truly brought the best of times in terms of employment and a booming economy.

Both PN leadership contenders request meeting with MDA

The two Nationalist Party leadership contenders, Dr Adrian Delia and Dr Chris Said, held separate meetings with the Malta Developers Association Council. The meetings, held at the request of the two candidates, turned out to be two long, fruitful discussions.

Both Dr Delia and Dr Said acknowledged the good work of the MDA and its highly valid contribution to the country.

Renewable Energy Sector

As part of the Malta Developers Association’s continual effort to promote sustainable development within the construction industry, the MDA created the Renewable Energy Suppliers Section within its structure.

The objective of this Section is to create direct communication between the developers and Renewable Energy suppliers with the intent of promoting the use of RE products in both new constructions and old buildings.

MDA Loan Scheme:

  • Amount borrowed
    MDA Scheme requires no security and can be used for purchases between €1,000 and €15,000.
  • Repayment Terms
    Repayments may span up to a maximum period of 3 years through monthly instalments which will be exclusive of interest given that interest on the loan will be paid by the retailers participating under the scheme. Hence, the amount you pay every month is determined by the invoice amount less REWS grant (if applicable) divided by the monthly selected term (up to 36 months). Should you decide to repay the loan before the stipulated term, whether in one lump sum or by increasing your monthly instalments, no penalties or additional fees apply.
  • Processing Fees
    No processing fees apply. There are no hidden fees and no extra costs.
  • Qualifying for the Loan : To apply for the MDA Loan Scheme, we require that: you are over 18 years of age and in regular full-time employment or receiving a regular income / pension

To apply for the MDA Loan Scheme, you will require:

  • Your I.D. Card
  • Evidence of income – FS3 or Profit & Loss Account together with the Inland Revenue income and self-assessment form submitted to the Inland Revenue or evidence of pension
  • Quote duly marked by your retailer and noting the REWS grant amount (if applicable)
