As part of the current consultations regarding the Local Council and LESA Reform, a delegation of officials headed by Hon. Silvio Parnis met with the Malta Developers Association Council. Various matters concerning the construction industry were discussed.


MDA Football Team wins Dar tal-Providenza Tournament

The Malta Developers Association football team participated in the yearly football tournament between the constituted bodies in aid of Dar tal-Providenza. We won the tournament for the third consecutive year, thus ending the year with another success !

Renewable Energy Sector

As part of the Malta Developers Association’s continual effort to promote sustainable development within the construction industry, the MDA created the Renewable Energy Suppliers Section within its structure.

The objective of this Section is to create direct communication between the developers and Renewable Energy suppliers with the intent of promoting the use of RE products in both new constructions and old buildings.

MDA Loan Scheme:

  • Amount borrowed
    MDA Scheme requires no security and can be used for purchases between €1,000 and €15,000.
  • Repayment Terms
    Repayments may span up to a maximum period of 3 years through monthly instalments which will be exclusive of interest given that interest on the loan will be paid by the retailers participating under the scheme. Hence, the amount you pay every month is determined by the invoice amount less REWS grant (if applicable) divided by the monthly selected term (up to 36 months). Should you decide to repay the loan before the stipulated term, whether in one lump sum or by increasing your monthly instalments, no penalties or additional fees apply.
  • Processing Fees
    No processing fees apply. There are no hidden fees and no extra costs.
  • Qualifying for the Loan : To apply for the MDA Loan Scheme, we require that: you are over 18 years of age and in regular full-time employment or receiving a regular income / pension

To apply for the MDA Loan Scheme, you will require:

  • Your I.D. Card
  • Evidence of income – FS3 or Profit & Loss Account together with the Inland Revenue income and self-assessment form submitted to the Inland Revenue or evidence of pension
  • Quote duly marked by your retailer and noting the REWS grant amount (if applicable)
