MDA council members attend skill cards seminar

Council members of the MDA, General Secretary Michael Stivala and Malcolm Mallia, recently attended the seminar organised by the Building Industry Consultative Council launching the public consultation period for the introduction of skill cards in Malta.

The Malta Developers Association welcomed in the most positive manner the skill cards scheme, which the BICC is introducing in the near future, in a statement on 10 October, 2015.

Through this scheme, a genuine effort is going to be made to give due recognition to those who work in the construction industry and, at the same time, the system is going to help raise quality, health and safety standards at the place of work and improve the conditions of employment of those who are qualified.

The MDA believes that through this scheme the level of quality in the construction industry will continue to rise.
